About Us Canning Perennials is a family owned nursery specializing in hardy perennials. This on-line catalogue offers over 800 different varieties of hardy perennials, Hosta, daylilies, groundcovers, ornamental grasses, herbs, vines and more.

Making A Purchase All prices are in Canadian Dollars. We ship anywhere in Canada and to most of the USA. Some state restrictions may apply.

US Customers please note: A $20 fee is included in the shipping cost to cover the cost of the Phytosanitary Certificate. This Certificate is necessary to get your plants over the border. Please remember that ALL costs are in Canadian dollars. Your credit card company will automatically convert the purchase price.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We do not charge your card until we are ready to ship. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax or snail mail. Please note that we can not reserve your plants until we have received payment.

Plants will commence shipping as soon as weather permits and the plants are ready -- usually beginning in early May. If you would like your plants on a certain date please e-mail us.

Please note that we are not a big box store. Some quantities are limited. Plants are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

Shipping And Handling Canadian Orders:

Plants are shipped via Expedited Post or Express Post -- your choice. Expedited Post is an economical reasonably quick ground service. Depending on where you live, you can expect your plants to arrive in 3 to 7 business days. Express Post is generally much faster (2 to 4 business days) but its also quite a bit more costly.

US Order:

Xpress Post USA --- 3 to 5 business days

If you would prefer that your order be shipped by an alternative method please e-mail or fax us.

Delivery Schedule Plants are shipped as soon as the weather permits -- usually throughout May. If you would like your plants shipped at a specific time please let us know.

Plants are reserved and shipped on a first come, first served basis -- depending on the weather If you order plants in mid-May we will ship as soon as is humanly possible but please keep in mind that we receive many orders early in the season and these will be shipped first.

Please note that your credit card will not be charged until your order is ready to be shipped.

Back Orders Generally we do not backorder plants. However some plants are naturally not available until later in the season. We will communicate this information as soon as it becomes available.

Tax Charges All Canadian residents are subject to GST (7%). Ontario residents must also add PST (8%).

All US Orders include a $20 fee to cover the cost of issuing a Phytosanitary Certificate. This Certificate is required to get your plants over the board. Canadian $$s.

Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. If there is a problem with your plants please let us know within 7 days and we will make it right.

Please note we are not set-up to accept phone orders. If you call you will most likely get

the answering machine as we are usually working outside or in the greenhouses.

Privacy Policy Canning Perennials does not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

Returns Policy Please note prices may change throughout the season, particularly if the pot size changes.

Please unpack your shipment of plants as soon as it arrives. Plant or pot your plants immediately. If there is a problem with your plants please notify us within 48 hours. In some cases we may require a photo as proof of the problem.

Remittance Terms Canadian Orders: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and personal cheques. Please pay by credit card if you are using the on-line shopping service or faxing your order.

US Orders: Sorry we can not accept personal cheques.
