Helleborus are the 2005 Perennial Plant of the Year

Unique bi-colour blooms which are purple on the outside and a much lighter shade on the inside. Please note: All Helleborus are poisonous. (16")

Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. These are exacting conditions.

Please note that Helleborus are not the easiest plants to grow. Where happy they will do very well, otherwise they are not likely to survive beyond the first season.
