Zone 4 - 9

Old-fashioned perennial that quickly grows to giant size -- up to 8'. Wonderful lobed foliage that is grey-green on the upper side and white underneath with a chamois-like texture. In mid- summer it is topped by tall feathery sprays of pink to bronze flowers followed by masses of ornamental seedheads which persist well into the fall. The Plume Poppy does not require staking but it is almost always in perpetual motion. A beautiful effect of fluttering leaves and swaying plumes.

This is a very vigorous perennial. Once established it will spread quickly via underground suckers. Very useful as a screen or backdrop. Best grown in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil.
