Gorgeous North American native. Slow spreading groundcover for part to full shade in acidic soil. Forms an evergreen mat of glossy, dark green foliage with pink or white blooms in summer, which are followed by loads of bright, red berries which persist into winter. (If the birds don't eat them!)
